checked out of the hotel and popped down the road to the giant Waitrose where we feasted on coffee and croissants before making the hour drive on to Stamford.
Gillian and Bill were ready for us and showed us the chicken routine before loading themselves and the dogs in the car and heading off to Devon, leaving us to unpack and settle in.
later on we walked into the town centre and had a look around the high street and town, then I made a trip to the supermarkets for dinner.
Sunday 5th March
Aaron has a morning game today so we all get up and drive to Newark. About 5 minutes into the trip the rain sets in and I startto regret our decision to go. Drop Aaron at the ground and we drive into the town, passing the castle on the way in but the rain is rather too heavy to get us out of the car. After a drive around and a stop at the Aldi we find a Pets at home and shelter there for a good 45 minutes watching the gerbils and hamsters.
Eventually the rain eases and we go for a walk around the castle and along the river passed the locks before getting the call that Aaron was done so we pick him up.
The weather is still looking doubtful for we drive 5 miles to the Workhouse at Southwell.
Monday 6th March
Unexpected sunshine so a trip to Lincoln.

Thursday 9th March
Spent the morning on w work and then trying to fix the laptop when the keyboard stopped working. Then Aidan and I went to Burghley Park for a walk.
